-Commercial awareness and understanding of contractual terms and risk -Competent using relevant software and maintaining rate databases -Strong knowledge of all elements of building construction -Ability to communicate effectively with clients and design professionals -Ability to prepare clear, precise and accurate tenders -Ability to work independently and to deadlines -Methodical, with strong analytical and negotiation skills -Proven track record of developing and maintaining supply chain relationships -Proven Estimator experience within construction -Preferably bringing existing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and architects, and the ability to leverage industry contacts to support commercial success
