Engineering Intern

Overview

Assist engineering team on utility infrastructure design and project tasks

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Interface with vendors to prepare materials. -Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements. -Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes and client requirements. -Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering related issues. -Work with a team lead in the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of engineering work. -Perform designs for civil site grading and drainage. -Assist in leading efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget. -Perform designs for utility infrastructure using subsurface utility engineering (“SUE”) guidelines.

What You Bring

-Strong interpersonal and relationship building ability -Self-starter with the ability to manage his / her time and resources -Currently enrolled (or recently graduated) pursuing Electrical Engineering degree -Ability to be flexible and maintain a positive attitude -Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States to be eligible for this position. Individuals with temporary visas (including, but not limited to E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, or TN) or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire. -Familiarity with common word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management, e-mail software -Basic oral and written communication skills
