Tasks

-Support survey crew data processing using Microsoft Office and Autodesk Civil 3D. -Maintain and improve survey standards, codes, templates, and documentation. -Follow all company and client safety procedures. -Review and approve survey data and deliverables in line with client and project requirements. -Represent the survey team professionally when interacting with clients, contractors, and landowners. -Maintain accurate archives of designs, drawings, and revision histories. -Mentor and guide junior Survey Data Technicians and interns. -Communicate regularly with field personnel to maintain data standards. -Partner with Project Leads to understand data needs, provide status updates, and resolve challenges. -Perform drafting and design tasks in Autodesk Civil 3D, including plans, layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings. -Coordinate and oversee Survey team task lists to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Sr Survey Data Technician to join our team and play a key role in supporting field survey crews, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining our survey standards. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior technicians, manage deliverables, and work tools like Autodesk Civil 3D. -Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) skills. -Associate’s degree in civil Survey, Drafting & Design, Engineering, or related field. -Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. -Ability to learn and adapt to new software. -Valid driver’s license with ability to pass DOT and company-required drug/alcohol testing. -Excellent communication and mentoring skills. -Minimum of 5 plus years of experience in survey -Understand and support overall project goals, timelines, and constraints. -Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and ethical practices. -Knowledge of GIS and document management principles.

The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location.
