Tasks

-Assess, manage and mitigate risks -Determine quantity and timing of deliveries -Create budgets for upcoming projects -Manage costs of existing projects -Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation -Manage bid process for architectural plans to subcontractors and vendors -Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company -Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand -Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power -Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness -Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies -Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers -Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking

What You Bring

-Five to eight years of related experience and/or training as Purchasing Manager, Agent or Officer -Ability to gather and analyze data -Proficiency with MS Office and email -Experience and knowledge in JD Edwards a plus -Displays regular interest in market dynamics along with business sense -Proven experience with sourcing, negotiation and vendor management -Possess strong leadership skills and networking capabilities -Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms -Ability to effectively present information, respond and draw valid conclusions -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications -Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; preferably in supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
