Design and develop GIS automation tools for engineering workflows using QGIS, Python, etc.

Tasks

-Develop workflow automations using QGIS, Python, and related tools to streamline manual tasks. -Train and mentor engineers on GIS tools, workflows, and data management best practices. -Create, document, and maintain translation workflows between QGIS and AutoCAD/Civil3D. -Collaborate with SMEs to identify new opportunities for process automation and improvement. -Apply testing and version control best practices to ensure scalability and reliability. -Develop and maintain spatial databases (PostgreSQL, SpatiaLite, etc.) to support GIS-enabled workflows. -Design and standardize templates, tools, and spatial data libraries for consistent use across teams.

What You Bring

-3–7 years of experience developing GIS-based automations using QGIS and Python. -Strong understanding of geospatial libraries (GeoPandas, Rasterio, Shapely) and SQL. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GIS, or a related field. -Experience with version control (Git) and software development best practices. -Point-Based Recognition -Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. -Experience creating or managing spatial databases preferred. -Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil3D and survey data (LiDAR, GPS).
