The Role

Overview

Manage and renew state professional licenses, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

Tasks

-Support attorneys and legal staff as needed -Managing the processing, maintenance and renewal of state professional licenses -Coordinating with and managing external vendors as it relates to professional licensing renewals -Coordinating with internal clients to determine necessary professional licenses, identifying responsible individuals, and complying with guidelines and procedures -Preparing various corporate documents including director and shareholder resolutions, secretary certificates, and a variety of other legal documents

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 2 years of relevant corporate paralegal experience at a firm and/or corporation or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Ability to deal with multistate regulatory agencies and state licensing departments -Excellent judgment with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines -Experience with MS Office -Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience -Experience with legal entity data platforms (CT, CSC) -Practical team player with the ability to professionally collaborate in a results-oriented environment -Knowledge of, and experience with, state professional licensing practices (contractors, architectural, and engineering) or similar licensing experience -Ability to build trust and effective working relationships across various teams and groups -Sponsorship for US work authorization is not available for this position, now or in the future -Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy -Capacity to problem solve and implement solutions under time-sensitive circumstances, collaboratively or independently, and take initiative before issues arise -Strong analytical, interpersonal, drafting, negotiation and written/verbal communication skills
