Fuse Technician

Overview

Inspect, troubleshoot, and operate equipment to fuse and fabricate PVC fittings.

Tasks

-Wear proper safety equipment as directed by the safety department and your supervisor -Accurately use measuring tools such as a tape measure -Set work schedule Monday – Friday 7am until 3.30pm or 3pm until 11.30pm; Overtime and Weekends as needed -Safely operate different types of equipment and hand tools

What You Bring

-High school diploma or certificate of completion is preferred -Must be able to read, write and speak English -Prior construction and forklift experience is a plus -Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 30-50 lbs. -Comfortable operating heavy equipment needed in the fabrication of fittings -Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs -Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn -Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail -Ability to follow instructions and ask questions if something is unclear -Great teammate with a proven track record to contribute to and cultivate a positive work environment -Must be at least 18 years old -Basic safety equipment (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs) will be provided -Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines -Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills -Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required -Ability to work in a fast pace environment -The use of hand tools
