Overview

Tasks

-Acquire on-site field data to accomplish design objectives or to monitor and evaluate equipment performance. -Prepare manual or computer-assisted design and construction drawings with precision and minimal errors. -Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations. -Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules. -Perform design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated leadership and technical capability to perform job duties and responsibilities. -Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required without a degree for Distribution Designer II. -At least one year of satisfactory experience as a Designer I for Distribution Designer II. -An Associate Degree or equivalent in a technical field is preferred. -Proficiency in drafting, field engineering, GIS, distribution engineering, civil engineering, CAD, substation design, transmission design, mechanical design, surveying, protective relaying, and instrumentation controls. -Possess a thorough knowledge of practices and procedures in technical areas such as Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Protective Relaying, Transmission Design, Substation Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Surveying, GIS and Mapping, and CADD. -Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required without a degree for Distribution Designer Associate.
