The Role
Overview
Manage and optimize Dandelion's fleet of vehicles and equipment for geothermal projects.

Tasks
-Oversee acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles, heavy equipment, and related assets -Create and oversee maintenance programs in partnership with internal mechanics and external vendors -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local fleet-related regulations (e.g., DOT, IFTA, HUT) -Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and ownership within the fleet and field teams -Analyze fleet data to identify trends, reduce costs, and improve operational performance -Partner with Finance to evaluate buy vs. lease decisions for construction vehicles -Track and manage fleet inventory, maintenance schedules, and replacement planning -Coordinate with project managers to ensure proper allocation of equipment to meet operational needs -Maintain vendor and service provider relationships to ensure cost-effective, reliable support -Develop and implement fleet management policies, procedures, and strategies

What You Bring
-Previous experience at a startup or rapidly growing company -Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities -Prior experience in clean tech, geothermal, or residential HVAC industries -Excellent organizational and communication skills -A passion for building scalable systems and supporting field teams -Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to work cross-functionally -7+ years of experience managing a fleet of vehicles and/or heavy equipment -Willingness and ability to work in our Peekskill, NY office at least 3 days per week (unless traveling) -A proactive mindset and the ability to problem-solve independently -Willingness to travel to project sites as needed to understand operational needs -Familiarity with fleet management software and tracking systems -Experience in field service or construction fleet operations -Strong knowledge of fleet operations, safety regulations, and vendor management
