IT Operations Manager

Overview

Manage IT service delivery, procurement, assets, and compliance leveraging MSP and CTO.

Tasks

-Collaborate with MSP to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment. -Oversee MSP-led IT service desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. -Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and oversee renewals to ensure cost-effective service. -Lead procurement of IT hardware, software, and services—from vendor selection to contract management. -Conduct regular audits to ensure license and asset compliance. -Track allocation and utilization across projects, staff, and offices. -Assist in developing and maintaining IT policies including acceptable use, password policies, and data retention. -Standardize IT documentation, reporting, and communication for transparency and accountability. -Monitor service levels and proactively address recurring IT issues. -Coordinate system upgrades, patching schedules, and preventive maintenance. -Ensure business continuity through robust backup, recovery, and cybersecurity practices. -Partner with CTO to align IT support with project and business needs. -Forecast procurement needs based on project pipelines, staffing, and asset lifecycle planning. -Ensure IT operations follow internal policies and external regulatory standards. -Align purchasing decisions with firm budgets, compliance requirements, and strategic goals. -Develop and manage the full lifecycle of IT assets—from acquisition through retirement. -Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software, licenses, and warranties.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). -Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. -Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. -Strong vendor and MSP management experience. -Prior experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) environment. -Demonstrated ability to manage IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity). -Familiarity with CMMC compliance -IT certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Project+. -6+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. -Experience with Autodesk, Adobe Creative Cloud, Bluebeam, or similar AEC software.
