The Role

Overview

Conduct QC audits, lab tests, and ensure food product compliance.

Tasks

-Conduct quality audits on products and processes at various stages of production. -Perform QC tasks including product sampling, line monitoring, and auditing. -Use laboratory equipment including pH meters, viscosity meters, and GCMS for testing. -Understand and utilize information from product specification sheets. -Conduct lab testing procedures such as brix, refractory index, pH, density, sensory, weights, and moisture testing. -Hold products that do not meet quality standards and provide appropriate dispositions.

What You Bring

-Knowledge in food science and chemistry. -Ability to wear a half-face respirator when working with specific chemicals. -AA/BA/BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related science field OR 1+ year experience in food quality control. -Proficiency in quality control and laboratory procedures. -Willingness to work weekends and support the food industry long-term. -Experience with pH meters, UV visual measurement equipment, and gas chromatography.
