Tasks
The role is a Site Manager running a project circa $30m+ bulk earthwork package reporting into a Senior PM. You’ll be expected to manage quality, ensure that programme is being delivered to time and to the correct cost, you’ll be managing a workforce of circa 40 people on a large greenfield site. Working as part of the delivery team on a large-scale excavation and earthworks package in Sydney, you’ll will be responsible for safe, efficient, and accurate supervision of heavy plant and equipment to achieve project milestones. -Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained -Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants -Delivering Civil project circa $30m+ -Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made -Review and manage key project issues -Assist Senior Project Manager with preparing scopes of work -Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works -Complete daily site diary entries -Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors

What You Bring
Candidates need to have experience successfully delivering projects of this magnitude from inception to completion. Projects they work on are generally Industrial or Commercial. Ideally someone with Site Management experience of delivering large projects with a Tier 1 Contractor. -Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes -Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications -Construction Safety Induction (White) card -Trade or building related Qualification -Minimum 5 to 10yrs years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors -Desirable – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety -Established, multi-state presence, Tier 2 Contractor -Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel -Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Senior First Aid Certificate -Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
