The Role
Overview
Perform quality control checks on products, analyze materials, and ensure compliance.

Tasks
-Assess analytical and testing methods and procedures to determine how they can be improved in the future -Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated, and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment -Document and report inspection results, deviations, and non-conformances. Perform daily NCR cart audits to ensure all non-conforming materials are properly identified, documented, and segregated. -Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. -Conduct analyses of raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods checking for quality and ensure that they meet necessary specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to verify product conformance. -Complete documentation necessary for the support of testing procedures, including inventory forms, data capture forms and equipment logbooks -Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods -Perform routine checks throughout the day to monitor processing, packaging, formulation, and sanitation. Work with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. -Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data

What You Bring
-Holds Quality certifications (preferred) -Stooping/Bending – occasional -Has analytical abilities with good attention to detail -Has a 2 or 4-year technical degree (preferred) -Is proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel -Prolonged computer usage -Standing/Walking - frequent -Possesses 5 years progressive experience in quality control and inspection or its equivalent technical degree and work experience -Has experience with the use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, etc. -Light Lifting (occasional 40 lbs. or less) -Has excellent verbal and written communication skills -Has experience working with quality management systems -Sitting – frequent -Has a High school diploma or equivalent
