The Role

Overview

Assemble switch components and perform inspections for electrical grid equipment.

Tasks

-Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes, if required. -Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure. -Assembling IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9’ x 4’ x 4’. -Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 25 lbs. without equipment assistance). Some judgment required to assemble and make simple adjustments.

What You Bring

-Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly operations. -Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures and read assembly prints. -Mechanical assembly experience preferred. -Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools. -Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.
