Tasks

-Ensure all as-built documentation, manuals, and training materials are complete prior to handover. -Ensure seamless integration of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Automated People Movers (APM), ICT, security, and other terminal systems. -Oversee integration between terminal systems and adjacent infrastructure to achieve full operational compatibility. -Lead and manage the technical delivery of all terminal building works, ensuring alignment between design, construction, and operational objectives. -Coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities, including architecture, structural, MEP, BHS, APM, ICT, and other terminal systems. -Coordinate with project controls teams to track progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions. -Ensure timely completion of design and technical submissions to prevent downstream delays. -Capture and document lessons learned to inform future project phases and enhance organizational knowledge. -Collaborate with construction teams to ensure that design solutions are effectively translated into field execution. -Support technical inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with project standards. -Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring technical compliance and operational performance. -Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all technical disciplines. -Develop and maintain technical delivery strategies, plans, and performance targets for terminal works. -Mentor technical managers, engineers, and support staff, fostering technical excellence and collaborative teamwork. -Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with ICAO, local building codes, and airport operational standards. -Monitor technical deliverables and ensure alignment with overall project schedule and milestone targets. -Prepare and present technical reports, design review outcomes, and decision papers to senior management and stakeholders. -Review construction methodologies for alignment with technical specifications and design intent. -Lead identification and mitigation of technical and design-related risks that may impact cost, schedule, or performance. -Promote innovative engineering solutions that enhance sustainability, efficiency, and maintainability. -Liaise with key stakeholders, including PMCM, design consultants, contractors, and airport authorities, to secure necessary technical approvals. -Work closely with ORAT (Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer) teams to ensure that systems and facilities are ready for operational handover. -Facilitate value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize designs without compromising quality or safety. -Review and approve technical specifications, design criteria, and construction documentation. -Lead design review workshops to assess technical completeness, constructability, and alignment with operational requirements. -Monitor design deliverables to ensure compliance with project standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory requirements. -Ensure designs are optimized for performance, maintainability, and life-cycle efficiency. -Oversee the execution of design intent throughout the construction phase, ensuring quality, functionality, and compliance. -Facilitate collaboration among project teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain alignment with project objectives. -Lead coordination and resolution of interface issues across architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist systems. -Address technical queries (RFIs) and coordinate resolution of design and field-related issues.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of airport terminal systems and interdependencies between architecture, MEP, and specialist systems. -Prior experience delivering major airport terminal projects, including system integration and ORAT coordination. -Familiarity with smart airport systems, digital construction platforms, and data-driven project delivery. -Minimum of 20 years’ experience in terminal building design, engineering, and construction management within major airport or infrastructure projects. -Familiarity with PMCM (Project Management and Construction Management) environments. -Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary technical teams and overseeing large, complex projects. -Proficiency in design coordination tools and project management software (e.g., BIM 360, Revit, Navisworks, Primavera P6). -Advanced certification in Project Management (PMP), Construction Management (CCM), or Lean Construction. -Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. -Excellent understanding of international design and construction codes, including ICAO, NFPA, IBC, and local authority standards. -Professional registration or certification (e.g., P.E., CEng, PMP, or CCM) is advantageous. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (Master’s degree preferred). -Understanding of sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) and their integration into terminal designs. -Strong understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Digital Twin technologies for design and construction coordination. -Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. -Extensive experience in design management, coordination, and operational readiness integration (ORAT).
