Tasks

-Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure the accuracy and quality of work. -Provide direct support to Project Managers and Design Leaders. -Effectively manage and organize project documentation. -Contribute to the development of proposals for project pursuits. -Devise and implement strategies for capturing project opportunities, including teaming arrangements and strategic positioning, while identifying necessary staff resources for successful project acquisition and delivery. -Engage in the design phases of roadways, highways, and interstates, overseeing projects from preliminary to final design stages. -Supervise and guide staff to facilitate smooth design and plan development processes. -Build and nurture relationships with both external and internal clients. -Collaborate within a dynamic team to fulfill project requirements and deliver a high-quality design to the client. -Create plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates in accordance with project requirements. -Collaborate with local management to strategize and implement project pursuits and delivery efforts.

What You Bring

-Experience as project manager or lead roadway engineer on MDOT projects -Proficient at using MicroStation and Open Roads Designer -Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or higher, is required -10 + years of progressive experience designing and delivering MI transportation (MDOT) projects -Michigan PE required -Experience working with clients such as State and County Departments of Transportation, and municipal. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills
