Tasks

-Prepare instrumentation datasheets and maintain an up-to-date instrument list. -Design systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC – NFPA70) -Prepare estimates of labor, time, and cost requirements for control system projects. -Perform technical bid evaluations for instrumentation and associated equipment. -Oversee projects from conceptual design through completion, working with other engineers and design team members. -Support the review and development of project design standards and best practices. -Participate in and support design and/or coordination reviews with clients and other project team members. -Lend engineering expertise to and participate in Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), and Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) reviews. -Leverage engineering expertise to support plant construction, commissioning, and start-up projects. -Oversee assigned project efforts to ensure adherence to budget and schedule. -Champion and support professional development through mentoring and training team members. -Collaborate with and support engineers and project managers from a wide array of disciplines across various projects. -Work closely with vendors to support vendor-submitted data for technical reviews and production. -Manage and coordinate change management of project scope.

What You Bring

-Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCSs) -Leverage an in-depth knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCSs), as well as Safety Instrumented System (SIS) hardware selection, configuration, network architecture design, and software applications. -U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or the foreign degree equivalent -Experience with industrial instrumentation and controls -Possess a Professional Engineering (PE) license or are willing to pursue obtaining your PE preferred -The position requires travel up to 20% of the time to various unanticipated client locations throughout the United States -5+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of industrial manufacturing facilities and utility infrastructure spaces -Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is preferred, but not required
