Manage end-to-end IESO settlements, lead analysts, and automate billing processes.

Tasks

-Lead the dispute/notice workflow (e.g., IESO Notices of Disagreement), track recoveries, and maintain evidence files. -Automated pipelines and exception dashboards cutting manual effort by 30–50%. -Translate market rule changes into repeatable settlement logic and controls. -Partner with Data Management to improve ingestion from MDM/SCADA/telemetry sources and ensure data quality, lineage, and reconciliations. -Work with Data Science/Engineering to automate charge-type logic and exception handling; enhance tools for pricing curves, loss factors, tags, performance factors, and uplift allocations (SQL/Python/BI). -Create executive dashboards for avoided costs, program performance, transmission/capacity value, and savings attribution. -Work cross-functionally with Markets, Real-Time Ops, Finance/AR, and Client Success to resolve issues before they impact clients. -Build/maintain SOPs, control matrices, and audit trails; coordinate internal/external audits. -Own monthly/weekly settlement cycles for IESO (energy, capacity/RA, ancillary services, uplift/variance, transmission, distribution riders). -Produce accurate, on-time client invoices and settlement packs (summaries, line-item detail, variance notes). -Perform shadow settlements from meter/telemetry and bids/offers; reconcile ISO statements and LDC invoices; investigate variances and root causes. -Manage, coach, and develop two settlement analysts; set KPIs and coverage models for peak periods. -Dispute program delivering measurable recoveries with reduced cycle time and a tracked win rate.

What You Bring

-Mississauga (Hybrid): in-office 2 days/week at Rodan’s Mississauga office; flexibility the rest of the week. -Nice to have: DR/BTM storage settlements, telemetry/MDM data structures, capacity/performance factor mechanics. -A standardized client settlement pack adopted across portfolios. -Proven variance analysis/root-cause skills; disciplined about accuracy and on-time closes. -Clear, concise communication—able to translate charge codes into client-friendly explanations and exec summaries. -Two analysts performing at a high level with clear KPIs and cross-coverage. -5–8+ years in power market settlements with direct IESO experience. -Experience creating SOPs, internal controls, and audit evidence; confident engaging with ISOs/LDCs on disputes. -Working knowledge of additional ISOs (PJM/NYISO/MISO/AESO) or strong aptitude/willingness to learn fast. -Documented SOPs & control matrix; clean audit with no material findings. -Occasional travel for client meetings, audits, or team onsite (≈ 5–10%). ->99.5% invoice accuracy and on-time close every cycle. -Advanced Excel; solid SQL and/or Python for data wrangling/reconciliation; BI experience (Power BI/Tableau).
