Tasks

Provide direction of the day-to-day operations of the Region implementing plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives, insuring profitability. -Maintain positive financial posture for assigned division work segments and monitor cost analysis activities on a routine basis. May manage financial aspects of divisions work activities. -Primarily an office position. Occasionally, site visits and field project visits are required. Travel to offices and projects in various locations around the country as needed. The following physical activities are often, but not always, associated with site visits: -Plan, staff, and supervise all division activities including personnel administration, performance reviews, defining functions, responsibilities, power-to act, and the like. -Planning, evaluating, and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost-effective. -Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts to facilitate positive relationships and communication. -Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts. -Establish and implement divisional policies, procedures, and organizational structure within the boundaries established by the management team and corporate policy. -Provide guidance and direction to subordinate managers in identifying potential clients and desired scope of projects. maintain an effective business development program, securing profitable work on a routine basis. -Confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems, authorize divisional operational procedures, and approve all major estimates. -Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the company.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in computer applications, especially construction related software. -Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions -Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills a necessity. -Must be able to stand or walk on a project site for extended durations -Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, calculator, copiers, and fax machines -Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. -At least five years’ experience in a similar capacity at a construction industry along with experience in project management and development. -Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations required. -Extensive knowledge of financial operations, marketing, estimating, and employee relations required. -No heavy lifting is expected, though exertion of up to 25 pounds of force may occasionally be required -Ability to communicate orally and in writing with vendors, management, and other coworkers, both individually and in front of a group -Good reasoning ability is important, must be able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business -Educational and experience requirements include: 4-year technical or business administration degree or equivalent (advanced degree - MBA - preferred), plus extensive experience in the management of construction operating units. -Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential -Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare or inspect documents -When on project sites or if performing some types of work or activities, must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to: earplugs, protective eyewear, gloves, hard hat, steel-toed work boots, and high visibility safety apparel.
