Supervise special or emergency projects as needed.
Read and interpret plans to understand the layout, sequencing, and method of pipe installation.
Responsible for completing required paperwork on a daily basis including but not limited to: daily timesheets, as-builts or service cards, daily production reports, traceability documentation, and customer pay sheets.
Train crews in accordance with company safety policies to ensure crew maintains a safe work environment that complies with OSHA/OQ standards.
Monitor the progress of multiple crews to ensure satisfactory job completion, keeping project progress in line with overall construction schedule and cost estimate.
Guides service installation sequences and supervises natural gas crews in the safe installation and assembly of all aspects of underground utilities and natural gas projects.
Supervise the daily operations in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements while continually monitoring sites for changing safety conditions and related issues.
Oversees all work is compliant with installation standards and properly follows all federal, state, and company environmental policies.
Maintain a professional attitude with owners, inspectors, public and company personnel.

Strong knowledge regarding the operations, safety, and maintenance of equipment being used.

Proficient knowledge of gas installation techniques and standards.
Ability to direct work and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of crews.
Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Any vocational training is strongly desired.
Problem solving abilities.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes.
Required: A minimum of 5 years of experience supervising the installation of underground natural gas utilities, equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on underground natural gas utilities construction and replacement experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and draft blueprints (as-builts).
Able to work in outside environments, being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, and job hazards.
Able and willing to work long hours, including day, night, and weekend shifts as needed, and work outside of normal hours.
Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, safety, and quality standards, and effectively utilize all tools and equipment relevant to the work. Ability to detect unsafe or hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment.
Must be efficient at operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, etc.)
Able to walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to travel to project sites that are typically within a 4-hour radius of the home office.
