Research & Development Technician (Electrical / Mechanical)

Overview

Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electrical/mechanical components for R&D.

Tasks

-Reading/interpreting assembly blueprints -Accurately using measuring instruments. -Provide feedback about ease of assembly / fitment and ergonomics of new designs. -Performing functional testing on assemblies. -Assembling complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material

What You Bring

-Must be able to stand during majority of shift, occasionally lift/carry up to 50pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 10 pounds of force -Must be able to operate crane/hoist and pallet jack. -Previous experience operating a forklift is an asset. -Associates degree preferred with 1+ years’ experience -Comfortable with Electronics and Electric circuits, diagrams, instruments and electrical safety -Following written and verbal work instructions -Team player and capable of working well with minimal supervision while following safety procedures -Technologist, apprentices or ticketed tradespeople with solid interpersonal skills welcome -Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills
