What you would be doing

  • On-site for the duration of the project at all times the abatement contractor is present to assure compliance with Federal, State and Local statutes governing abatement procedures.
  • Communicate with designated project managers during and after shift.
  • Perform air sampling and inspections to monitor compliance with specified procedures within the work area.
  • Complete detailed documentation including chains of custody and log book entry.

Who We’re Looking For: A motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts well to change. You should possess excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to customer service and safety. Candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision, learn quickly, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Mastery of the English language – written and spoken.
  • Must be able to walk up/down multiple flights of stairs.
  • Additional certifications such as 10/30 Hour Construction Safety are desirable but not required.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Asbestos: NYS DOL Asbestos Project Monitor Certification
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping
  • Ability to occasionally work in confined spaces (examples: crawlspaces, attics).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Eager and available to work flexible and extra hours as necessary.
  • Must be well versed in NYC DEP Title 15 Regulations
  • 1 to 3 years in the industry
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Available to work during off-hour shifts on an emergency, as-needed basis.
  • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to occasionally work at heights greater than 6 feet (examples: ladders, rooftops, man-lifts, scaffolding).
  • Ability to complete all mandatory trainings, including safety training.
