The Role

Overview

Operate machinery to assemble power cable, handle setup, maintenance, and quality.

Tasks

-Use a computer for simple tasks. -Repair machinery and prepare components for machines in assigned area -Clean and reassemble machinery in the assigned area -Continuously pay attention to detail. -Change out the product and splice the product for continued production -Perform shop math. -Monitor the quality of production -Read/follow written instructions. -Read/use precision gauges and tools. -Operate machinery in the assigned area -Review documentation/work orders -Set up machinery/processes in Tower, pay off and take up areas (assigned area) -Monitor controls, materials, and processes in the assigned area -Coordinate other repairs with maintenance and engineering -Communicate with supervisor -Perform shop arithmetic. -Troubleshoot basic line problems. -Operate power moving devices, change propane cylinders -Load / replace materials in the assigned area -Fulfill simple computer tasks.

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instructions. -Read micrometers and other related precision tools. -Read and follow written instructions. -Experience in the wire & cable industry a plus but not required. -Strong focus on teamwork -High school degree required.
