CNC Operator I - Weekend Shift

Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Tasks

-Selection and Use of PPE: Proper selection and use of plant PPE and task-specific PPE. -Machine Guarding: Ensure machine guarding and E-Stop awareness/operation. -Material Handling: Handle and identify materials, including alloys. -E-Beam Troubleshooting: Conduct entry-level E-Beam troubleshooting, cleaning, and filament changes. -Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. -Calibration: Test and verify calibration of inspection tools. -Waste Management: Manage waste streams including scrap metal and environmental considerations. -Fixturing: Use task-specific fixturing. -Fanuc Controls: Operate Fanuc controls and set coordinates for lathes. -Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area. -Production Standards: Meet production standards and isolate causes of out-of-tolerance part features. -SOPs: Locate and use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). -E-Beam Operations: Perform entry-level E-Beam operations including start-up, safe operations, and shut down. -Measuring: Perform entry-level measuring using tape measures, scales, micrometers, and calipers. -Data Entry: Perform basic data entry and complete required training on time. -Safety: Maintain safe work habits, recognize hazards, and ensure hand safety. -Tool Changes: Change jaws and use cutting tools/holders. -Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and powered pallet jacks. -Disc Preparation: Prepare discs for E-Beam drilling operations. -Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO): Implement lockout/tagout procedures to control hazardous energy. -Workpiece Handling: Load, feed, and unload workpieces. -CNC Lathe Operations: Conduct entry-level CNC lathe operations and troubleshooting. -Set-Up Notes: Apply set-up notes and make programming adjustments/updates. -Crane Operations: Perform crane pre-use inspections, operation, and rigging. -CNC Operations: Perform entry-level CNC operations including start-up, safe operations, and shut down. -Machine Maintenance: Conduct basic machine maintenance and pre-use inspections.

-Tolerances: Hold required tolerances and perform visual inspections. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. -Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including email, Safety Skills, Workday, and SAP Intro. -Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprints and understand entry-level GD&T. -Hazardous Communication: Understand and follow hazardous communication protocols and grinding safety. -Reporting Systems: Use Good Catch System and SharePoint for reporting and documentation. -Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. -JSA: Comprehend and sign off on Job Safety Analysis (JSA). -Tool Use: Use common hand and power tools effectively. -Speeds and Feeds: Understand entry-level speeds and feeds, tool touch-off, and setting offsets. -Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. -Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. -Basic understanding of CNC machinery and operations. -Good communication and teamwork skills. -Shop Math: Apply basic shop math including measurements, geometry, volume, and area. -High school diploma or equivalent. -No previous experience required -Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols. -Standing for extended periods.
