Tasks
-Producing and checking high quality reports for clients -Undertaking and checking economic appraisals to assist the design of Flood Alleviation Schemes, deliver Flood Risk Assessments and conduct reservoir flood studies -Mentoring/training junior staff in the overall process of helping clients manage and adapt to flooding, from scoping to delivery, helping them to see the bigger picture, and providing guidance in identifying opportunities and risks in programme, consenting, construction and maintenance -Preparing business cases to secure funding for Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Grant in Aid

What You Bring
-Well organised and able to prioritise your own workload with minimal supervision -Engineering design experience -Conceptualisation and scoping of hydraulic modelling approaches -Understand the importance of prioritising health, safety and environmental issues -Experience preparing business cases Degree level qualification in hydrology, geography, economics, mathematics, civil engineering, or other related discipline -Good communication and written skills -Professional consultancy experience in flood risk management -Project management experience -Chartered or Incorporated with an appropriate professional body (e.g. ICE, CIWEM, IMA) -Experience in delivering flood risk management studies including undertaking option appraisals in compliance with English Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Appraisal Guidance
