Provide clerical and admin support to the Legal department, General Counsel and Transactions Manager.

Tasks
Purpose:Perform clerical and administrative functions to assist the Legal Department, including support to General Counsel and Transactions Manager. -Establishes, maintains and updates electronic filing system – individually and departmentally -Assist in creation and ongoing maintenance/organization of folders within the Litigation / Subpoena / Bankruptcy folders -Assist in preparing and processing licenses (including but not limited to annual business licenses, music and motion picture licenses, broker licenses), permits, housing applications. -Performs general clerical functions such as typing, editing, proofing, filing, making copies and scanning -Cross train on tasks with Transactions Assistant -Review and prepare property level service contracts for execution and distribution -Update legal forms as directed by the General Counsel -Assist in addressing code compliance violations and curing any outstanding liens or -Distribute and process department incoming and outgoing mail, update tracking and filing systems. Coordinate electronic delivery of documents to regional office(s) and properties as needed. -Assists in due diligence, acquisitions and dispositions tasks, as needed -Process department invoices for payment including processing settlement check requests and distribution. -Effectively coordinate tasks with multiple corporate departments -Assist in EIN, entity management, maintenance, and assumed name formation, including coordination through our Statutory and Registered Agent, CT Corp.,

What You Bring
-Excellent verbal, written and proofing skills -High school diploma. University degree or some college preferred -Intermediate knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat -3 to 5 years professional administrative experience -Excellent detail orientation with strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills -Experience in YARDI software, a plus -Demonstrated initiative and flexibility; ability to work occasional overtime.
