Tasks

Responsible for field investigations, special inspections, material testing, project management, and authoring on-time reports. -Engage in continuing education to develop skills and keep certifications current -Report preparation and review -Supervise and support project team -Perform special inspections, various field inspections, and materials testing as needed -Implement Quality Assurance, and assurance of field and laboratory adherence to technical standards and applicable codes -Project coordination and project management of special inspections and construction materials testing

What You Bring

-Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate from a State Board -Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents -For candidates without college degree and/or E.I.T. Certificate; Special Inspection Certifications through the International Code Council (ICC) and/or the American Concrete Institute (ACI) -AS / AAS or BS in Civil Engineering, or related is preferred -Possess excellent organizational skills are necessary to be able to manage multiple projects, each with unique schedules and budgets -Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license -Functional knowledge of industry practices and regulations, NY State Building Code, and engineering standards -Possess ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients through clear communication and proactive progress reporting -High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
