Construction Management Intern

Overview

Assist project manager with construction tasks, safety, communication, and documentation.

Tasks

-Assist the Project Manager in the authorization and/or approval of all project staffing, including, but not limited to, the choice of superintendent, general foreman, and foremen. -Assist the Project Manager with purchase requisitions, payment approvals, and change order requests. -Perform additional assignments per the supervisor's direction. -Act as a liaison to coordinate communication between both internal and external members on the project, including, but not limited to, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, and Foremen. -Assist in the total construction and design effort (if applicable) to ensure the project is constructed following design, budget, and schedule. -Assist with estimating projects and creating bid proposals. -Assist in the maintenance of all official project documentation and logs.

What You Bring

-Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. -Must currently be enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a business-related field. -Prior construction experience is a plus. -Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills. -Occasional travel to the project site or working from the project site may be required -Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Accubid, or other construction technology is a plus. -Must possess a strong desire to start a career in the electrical construction industry. -Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. -Must possess strong attention to detail and ensure maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project.
