Tasks

The Program Manager will be responsible for fostering existing client relationships, developing new clients, managing production, and managing technical staff in the execution of complex water/wastewater engineering projects and supporting business development, business strategy, and recruiting efforts. -Support client action and capture plans for specific clients or opportunities. -Support proposal efforts for municipal water/wastewater contracts and/or projects. -Support client management of key municipal water/wastewater clients. -Participate in water/wastewater professional organizations including presenting at conferences to expand Dewberry’s brand in the water market. -Support task order proposals for on-call engineering contracts. -Support the delivery of water and wastewater evaluation, design, and projects.

The successful candidate will have a diverse background and extensive experience in winning and delivering complex multidiscipline water and wastewater projects through various stages including planning, analysis, design, construction administration, permitting, and regulatory compliance. *Only recipients of an offer of employment from Dewberry, will be required to submit to a background screening which may include, but is not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, driving record check, criminal background check, and an investigative consumer report. These screenings will be conducted by Dewberry’s background vendor of choice and will be conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local law. With support from the enterprise, the successful candidate will support business development activities, pursue new clients and potential project leads, support the development of price and technical proposals, and coordinate with other regional and national water/wastewater leaders to jointly pursue and execute water/wastewater projects in the region. Additionally, the candidate will have access to corporate technical expertise as needed to support project pursuits and delivery. -A minimum of 10 years’ project management and technical staff supervision experience. -A successful track record of building client relationships in water/wastewater market, particularly high-profile regional clients. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Strong client retention and new business development skills. -Strong leadership qualities and ability to coach and mentor junior and mid-level staff. -B.S. degree is preferred. -15+ years’ experience of increasing levels of project and client responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.
