  • Providing buildability and construction input into the detailed design completed by the Lot 1 designers
  • Installing permanent overhead line tower foundations
  • Create site operation methods
  • Managing Utility diversions
  • Installing all temporary works, haul roads, drainage, compounds
  • Ensure ITPs are followed and reported
  • Clearing the way of all constraints to allow the new overhead lines to be built.
  • Raising NCRs and close out
  • Work on one of the most significant energy upgrades in UK history
  • Set Section engineer daily / weekly tasks

Requirements

  • Circa 5+ years delivery infrastructure projects
  • HSE management and leadership capabilities
  • Quality management expertise and attention to technical detail
  • Design & Build experience
  • Track record of delivering major infrastructure projects (Power, Electricifcation, Civils, Rail, Highways, Wastewater or similar)
  • Strong focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation
  • Good understanding of project delivery lifecycle – scope, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or similar qualification, including apprenticeship routes, and on-the-job experience
  • Understand setting out data
  • Effective contractor management and construction knowledge
  • GIS Mapping
  • National Grid Projects experience
  • Temporary Works Knowledge
