O&M Field Service Engineer - Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk Region

Overview

Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on solar plants in Cambridgeshire.

Tasks

-Take full ownership of assigned sites. -Deliver electrical maintenance services across a specified region, with occasional travel to other regions for additional support. -Perform maintenance on electrical components, inverters, modules, CCTV/security systems, monitoring systems, and structures. -Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, actively participating in risk assessments. -Assist in compiling insurance and warranty claims. -Provide detailed reports according to Lightsource BP standards, which can be prepared remotely. -Manage relationships with local subcontractors.

What You Bring

-Passionate about renewables (highly desirable). -Ability to safely pass LV1 assessment. -Positive, adaptable, and willing to learn. -Comfortable working outdoors. -Advantageous: Experience working at heights. -Clean, full driving licence. -Team player with good time-management and punctuality. -Electrically trained with qualifications such as BS7671 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ or equivalent (e.g., completed apprenticeship, IET). -Recognized electrical qualifications, such as City and Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition). -Problem-solving attitude and technical curiosity. -Any inverters maintenance course and testing/inspection certification 2391 are advantageous. -HSE awareness. -Desirable: Experience as an Electricians Mate, industrial PV installation maintenance, inverter maintenance, and HV switching. -Capable of working remotely without close supervision. -Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
