Tasks
-Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, repairs, and energy efficiency. -Maintain accurate service records and documentation for regulatory compliance. -Provide recommendations for upgrades or preventive maintenance. -Conduct site assessments and ensure proper placement, electrical connections, and insulation. -Configure control systems and verify operational efficiency. -Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues. -Handle refrigerants safely and legally, ensuring proper recovery, recycling, and disposal. -Install commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and chillers. -Perform routine maintenance: clean coils, replace filters, inspect electrical components, and check refrigerant levels. -Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures.

What You Bring
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. -Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls. -Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in walk-in units. -Knowledge of building codes and refrigeration regulations. -Minimum 5 years of experiencein commercial refrigeration, specifically with walk-in coolers. -Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. -Experience with energy-efficient systems and environmentally friendly refrigerants. -Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and walk-in cooler design standards. -EPA Section 608 Universal Certification(Type I, II, III). -Technical training or HVAC certification- Current Journeyman HVAC license in Maryland -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined, cold environments. -Must wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols. -Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. -Adhere to OSHA, NSF/ANSI 7, and EPA Section 608standards.
