The Role
Overview
Operate heavy equipment like hoists, cranes, forklifts, and trucks to move materials.

Tasks
-Assure that workmanship is of the highest quality. -Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel using power equipment. -Inspect, clean, and maintain power equipment on a daily basis. -Comply with all company safety requirements and policies. -Be a champion to support IIF efforts for working safely and building a culture of care and concern for each team member in the workplace. -Ensure adherence to processes and procedures that support an IIF culture. -Inventory and organize equipment and materials, including properly documenting equipment, tools, and material logs/reporting. -Inspect work-in-progress to ensure that it conforms to the specifications, construction schedules, and quality standards as outlined in AP’s quality management program. -Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. -Observe load rigging and determine the safety of the load or lift. -Consistently communicate and reinforce the tenets of an IIF workplace. -Position forks or lifting device and move the item by sight or according to signals (verbal or hand) from a rigger. -Supply tools and materials to different areas of the work site as directed by the trades.

What You Bring
-Experience operating heavy equipment such as hoists, cranes, forklifts, and trucks. -History of experience and proven results including: -High school diploma or equivalent. -CCO certification for 150 ton crawler crane. -CCO certification as required. -Ability to be self-motivated, set own goals and tasks, and contribute to a positive team environment. -Ability to lift, load, and move equipment, supplies, and materials weighing up to 100 pounds. -Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve construction issues. -Ability to obtain a forklift certification. Commercial driver’s license preferred. -Willingness to work in various (sometimes extreme) climate conditions. -Physical agility to climb in and out of and operate heavy equipment throughout the day. -Ability to travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away. -Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards. -Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
