Product Engineering Leadership: Drive the product engineering operational strategy for assigned product categories, ensuring smooth development from concept to production. Develop a sustainable and adaptable team that has the collective knowledge and ability to achieve desired objectives.
Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required
Operational Strategy: Translate the overall product roadmap into short to mid-term operational plans for the team. Cascade these plans down through a team of leaders and engineers to ensure alignment and ownership throughout the department.
Budget Support: Drive and support the management of the department budget, ensuring accuracy and appropriate resource allocation to maximize ROI and achieve departmental strategies and objectives.
Customer Feedback: Manage incoming customer-related product feedback from Salesforce and commercial teams. Lead teams to assess and implement necessary changes to improve product performance. Represent the company in key client meetings and site visits, fostering strong relationships and effectively addressing customer concerns.
Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with senior leaders across functions and value streams to communicate overall product engineering goals, capabilities, and to align with the needs of other stakeholders.
Infrequently working around energized equipment with the risk of electrocution/scalding/burns/other etc.
Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
Occasionally working with machinery with moving parts/vehicles/forklifts/heavy machinery/sharp objects/other etc.
Continuous Learning: Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration, promoting cross-functional interactions and knowledge sharing among team members. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process improvements, gathering feedback, analyzing data, and implementing enhancements to optimize performance and efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting: Generate and approve technical documentation, procedures, and reports to document processes, ensuring plans can be easily communicated and understood by various teams throughout the organization.
Leadership & People Management: Provide strong leadership and direction to managers and senior contributors, setting clear performance expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Conduct regular performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, reward and recognition, and facilitate career development opportunities to support individual growth and organizational succession planning. Manage administrative processes, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, leave management, etc.
Continuous Product Improvement: Lead large, multi-team projects to reduce costs, simplify designs, and implement product recommendations that align with business strategy.

10+ years of experience in product engineering, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
Travel - Frequently required to travel and work extended hours when necessary. Required to travel internationally.
Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
Occasionally exposed to low/moderate/high noise levels including machinery/vehicles/forklifts/office equipment/office traffic etc.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
Infrequently exposed to wet humid/outdoor weather/extreme cold (non-weather)/extreme heat (non-weather) conditions/other etc.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from senior leaders to support staff, and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from senior leadership.
