The Role

Overview

Lead commercial team for control systems, manage contracts, budgets, risks, and stakeholder relations.

Tasks

-Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain commercial KPIs, preparing clear and accurate reports for senior management and stakeholders. -Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure robust financial performance. -Leading & Inspiring: Manage and mentor the commercial team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. -Procurement & Supply Chain: Oversee procurement activities to secure cost-effective purchasing of materials and services. -Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks, conducting regular reviews and implementing effective strategies. -Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and management of complex contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies. -Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners, ensuring effective communication and negotiation throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Bring

-Experience working on Control Systems projects would be advantageous. -Exceptional leadership skills, including experience managing and developing remote teams. -Experience in dispute management and a commitment to continuous improvement. -Expertise in NEC3 and NEC4 contracts (especially options A, C & E), and NEC Two Stage Contract experience (Early Design & FEED). -APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ/PPQ). -Strong background in portfolio commercial management, with a track record of managing complex contracts and relationships. -Professional qualifications such as RICS Chartered Member (MRICS). -Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), or NCMA Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM). -Ability to foster a culture of openness, trust, and collaboration with the supply chain. -Proven experience in a similar industry (broader Utilities, Construction, infrastructure etc.)
