Scientist I - Microbiology - Environment Testing

Overview

Conduct routine water quality microbial testing and support lab operations in microbiology.

Tasks

-Following safe work practices and adhering to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner -Input of data into corporate database -Preparation of reagents following SOP guidance -Cleaning and maintaining specific laboratory supplies, i.e., tubing and other specialized glassware -Filtering of microbiology samples for compliance testing as required by federal regulations -Analysis of samples following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

What You Bring

-An understanding of with lab safety and aseptic technique -A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (equivalent experience may substitute for a degree) -Prior experience with microscopy -Excellent documentation and communication skills in Microsoft Word, Excel is preferred -Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English. -Experience with Microbiology in a lab setting -Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship -Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed. -A Bachelor's degree Microbiology or Biology, with at least 1 Microbiology course -An understanding of basic laboratory practices related to Microbiology or applicable fields, -Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
