Tasks

-Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align project objectives and deliverables. -Oversee workload scheduling, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of projects. -Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team. -Conduct quality control (QC) reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements. -Leadership: Inspires and motivates teams, fosters collaboration, and drives results. -Lead and manage a team of structural engineers (currently 4), fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. -Lead the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for structural systems. -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including contracting officers, biologists, and engineers. -Identify client needs and translate them into practical, cost-effective design solutions. -Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, networking, and strategic relationship building with owners, contractors, and consultants. -Manage structural and multi-discipline projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. -Provide mentorship and training to engineers at all levels, supporting professional growth and technical development. -Perform field inspections, facility assessments, and site visits during design and construction phases. -Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress, and proactively address risks and challenges. -Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for structural projects, providing oversight and technical guidance during design and construction phases.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a growing team of structural engineers. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality structural design solutions for complex projects across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and project management skills, ensuring excellence in design, client satisfaction, and team development. -Proven ability to manage teams and multi-discipline projects throughout the full project lifecycle. -Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required. -Demonstrated success in client relations and business development. -Experience working with state and federal agencies, utilities, and consulting firms. -Field experience in pre-design scoping, facility assessments, and construction observation. -Proficiency in industry-standard software for structural analysis and design. -Self-Driven: Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. -Strong technical expertise in structural analysis, design, and construction practices. -Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred). -Familiarity with civil and hydraulic engineering principles is highly desirable. -Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. -Experience: Minimum 10 years of structural design experience, with a focus on hydraulic structures, fisheries facilities, and/or bridges. -Problem-Solving: Thrives on tackling complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions.
