The Role
Overview
Oversee multi-site building & construction operations, P&L, and team leadership in the Midwest.

Tasks
-Provides day-to-day oversight and guidance for Branches, OUs and Special Projects within an assigned region, and aligned with the TQA Customer Promise and core values of the company. -Assists with budgeting and resource allocation efforts alongside the management team. -Participates in technical trade or association meetings. -Monitors effectiveness of processes through development and reporting of agreed key performance indicators. -Model Intertek’s 10X energies at all times within the workplace, practicing business the right way -Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work -Operational Business Relationships: Serves as a technical resource to management staff and major clients. -Execution of work: Identifies and deploys performance metrics to ensure disciplined performance management. -Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the business. -People Leadership: Creates and motivates a high-performance team; Attracts, recruits and retains team members. -Makes business recommendations on capital expenditures and other initiatives. -Ensures all program initiatives align with the Company’s core values and culture. -Client Relationships: Appropriately represents the business with clients and business partners, and acts as a lead / role model. -Ensures and drives effective Billing & Collections practices are in place in assigned region. -Work & Workforce Planning: Ensures that all employees are trained and have the skills and capability for the job, including health & safety business processes. -P&L Management: Responsible for driving the business to achieve and exceed sales revenue and profitability for assigned region, including effective expense management. -Collaborates with the CFO and senior leadership on forecasting, financial projections and analyses of existing programs and policies. -People Development: Mentors and develops staff; sets appropriate goals and objectives, and supports career development. -Equipment & Tools: Ensures that employees have the equipment, tools and systems to succeed in their job, and are trained on the right operating procedures.

What You Bring
-Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats -Must be customer focused and quality driven -3+ years’ experience with client interactions and business development activities is preferred -Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties -Ability to work on both small and large projects -Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required -Advanced organizational leadership skills -Experience working in the service sector, and within a multi-site environment required -Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines -Ability to travel up to 35% as business needs dictate -Excellent written, verbal and client-facing communication skills -MBA preferred -8+ years’ experience in an Operations Leadership role with the Company or Industry is required
