Tasks

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Estimator to lead our Estimating Department and oversee the preparation of competitive and profitable bids. This role plays a key part in aligning departmental performance with company goals, mentoring staff, and ensuring project profitability through accurate cost analysis and bid management. -Decision-Making: Make sound, data-driven decisions aligned with strategic goals. -Coordinate with Business Development on bid schedules. -Manage estimating staff: hiring, training, performance evaluation. -Produce 3–5 bids weekly, totaling $500,000–$800,000 in revenue. -Review, prepare, and submit cost estimates for construction, landscape, and hardscape projects. -Leadership: Coach and guide a high-performing team. -Ensure complete and timely submissions, compliance, and client satisfaction. -Lead the Estimating Department and ensure high-quality, profitable bid output. -Analyze blueprints, specs, and scopes of work to determine cost factors. -Maintain production rate accuracy and monitor market cost trends.

What You Bring

🔨 We are looking for a Senior Estimator 📅 Experience Level: Senior - Experience bidding on public construction projects is a MUST -Use MEP (Marina Estimating Program) and Microsoft Office Suite. -Strong organizational, leadership, and time-management skills. -Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction or estimating -Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite -LegalShield + IDShield -Proficient in estimating software and blueprint interpretation. -Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction, landscape, or hardscape estimating. -Experience bidding on public construction projects is a MUST. -Bilingual (Spanish or Vietnamese) a plus. -Business Acumen: Understand estimating’s role in driving company revenue and profitability.
