QA Automation Lead

Lead QA automation strategy for Laravel/React, mentor team, ensure quality in CI/CD.

Tasks

-Conduct code reviews and establish best practices for test writing and maintenance -Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to define test plans and ensure quality gates in CI/CD -Advocate for shift-left testing and embed QA practices early in the development lifecycle -Lead and mentor a QA automation team across multiple projects and platforms -Design and implement end-to-end, integration, API, and UI test automation using tools like or similar to: Cypress, Cucumber, Selenium and/or React Testing Library (RTL) for frontend (React) -Ensure proper coverage, traceability, and documentation of test cases and defects -Own and evolve the test automation architecture and strategy

What You Bring

-Exposure to performance/load testing tools (e.g., Artillery, k6, JMeter or similar) is a plus -Strong analytical and debugging skills -A critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills -Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript to write test scripts -Knowledge of containerized environment (Docker) and Kubernetes is a plus -Strong experience with version control - GitLab, CI/CD pipeline, and various QA automation tools -A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills -Able to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment -Experience with cloud-hosted environments is a plus -Strong experience with test automation framework for both frontend (React), backend (Laravel/PHP/REST API) and Mobile apps (iOS SWIFT and Android Kotlin) -Familiarity with Laravel internals or testing Eloquent models, middleware and controllers is a plus -5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership role -Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams is a plus -Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented
