Tasks
-Integrating and networking PC's and PLC's (TCP/IP, EthernetIP) -Provide guidance to Maintenance Technicians helping develop skillsets and strengthen the team. -Provide controls guidance in equipment selection, overall operations and future expansion. -Benchmarking processes and equipment throughout the industry and incorporating into Company Standards. -Supports Purchasing in evaluation of new suppliers, products and technologies to help maintain a competitive edge in the industry. -Implement process improvements to improve overall efficiencies, including automation. -Drive lean concepts (5S, OEE, Kanban, Visual Factory, TPM etc.) throughout the organization. -Responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and tracking of assigned projects. -Main interface with automation and capital equipment vendors for control solutions. -Collaborate on all controls related communication internally and externally, including technical presentation, design reviews, capacity analysis, and feasibility studies. -Provide support for Controls related issues, as required, to prevent or minimize production downtime. -Analyze and calculate machine performance and requirements utilizing the PLC. -Develop and track capital investment budgets for assigned projects.

What You Bring
-Strong knowledge of Manual and Automated Assembly Systems and Technologies, including both mechanical and control systems. -Technical experience required with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, AutoCAD, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, FactoryTalk View Studio -Robot Programming: Touchup paths and troubleshoot stoppages -HMI Programming (2-4 years): FactoryTalk View Studio, PanelView Plus -Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Programming, or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. -Experience in JIT, SPD, ILVS and Batch manufacturing systems. -Vision Systems Programming (2-4 years): Cognex, Keyence -Experience with maintaining robots in production processes -PLC Programming (2-4 years): Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000 processors -Minimum of 2 years as a Controls Engineer or Maintenance Technician.
