Tasks

-Supportive Leadership: Provide trusted technical guidance to delivery teams and bring clarity and confidence to complex challenges. -Design Alignment: Collaboratively review substation design packages and offer insight at key project milestones. -Innovative Specifications: Create forward-thinking technical specifications for high-capacity plant, including transformers and switchgear—including for primary voltages above 66kV. -Collaborative Scoping: Work alongside cross-functional teams to develop tailored scopes for new and upgraded zone substations that enable critical infrastructure for data centre clients. -Inclusive Procurement: Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to thoughtfully source the best equipment and services. -Quality & Integrity: Support quality assurance through Factory Acceptance Testing and project site reviews, ensuring high standards every step of the way.

What You Bring

-You bring a deep knowledge of substation primary plant, including transformers and switchgear. -A natural ability to foster strong working relationships and build trust across teams. -At least 7 years of experience in the electricity supply. -Clear and considered written communication skills. -A thoughtful, strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. -You have an electrical engineering qualification and are eligible for membership with the Institute of Engineers Australia. -You understand the broader asset engineering ecosystem and value strong, respectful relationships with external stakeholders. -A strong grasp of risk management principles.
