Tasks

-General Site Maintenance - Supporting the Site and Facilities team with general carpentry/joinery maintenance tasks e.g. sticking doors, replacing locks, making erecting noticeboards. -Material Management - Ordering and management of all materials required for the Mould Making Department, e.g. wood, glues, screws and fixings. Including incoming quality checks. -Refurb and setting of existing moulds - Refurbish current moulds using various techniques so they are ready for re-use and setting up to optimise production efficiency. -Refurbushing items, for example mould boxes -Adhering to health & safety, quality and environmental systems -Support Production Process - Work closely with production operatives to support the production team throughout casting and demoulding process. -Creating items from wood and other materials, for example mould boxes -General woodworking maintenance tasks around the factory -Manufacture and Maintenance of timber moulds - Make moulds in line with customer requirements, from various materials, using the CAD Drawing.

-Highly organised, able to work under pressure to deliver multiple priorities. -Ability to build effective relationships at all levels -Ability to plan and prioritise your own workload reading from a production schedule -Ability to read and understand CAD / GA drawings to reverse engineer moulds. -Wood working safety training -Basic IT computer literacy in the use of outlook and internet explorer. -Ability to take ownership of the role -Knowledge of wood working tools listed above. -Innovative thinking and solutions focussed -Ability to operate woodworking machines, Kappa saw/spindle moulder/panel saw/planner etc. -Effective engagement and communication -Practical, hands-on ability -NVQ or equivalent in Woodworking Operations -IOSH Qualified
