The Role
Overview
General labor for aerial/underground telecom construction, including trenching and fiber work.

Tasks
-Conduct Aerial/Underground work as needed and directed and as trained -Construct and repair underground RF and Fiber service -Troubleshoot RF and Fiber line and or equipment issues -Be involved in map reading and directions -Support with trench digging and closing -Climb poles with climbing equipment safely -Conduct maintenance services as directed by Foreman to include: Cleanup, Wash Vehicles, Landscaping -Tow various trailers with flatbed trucks -Be involved with vehicle and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified -Move and relocate RF and Fiber service -Support with the movement of materials and vehicles as directed by Foreman or Supervisor -Conduct general labor on construction sites -Perform fiber blowing operations as directed, assisting in the installation of fiber optic cable in conduits using fiber-blowing equipment -Conduct placement of conduit as directed by Foreman or Supervisor -Learn all inventory and equipment required for these projects -Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment -Be responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks

What You Bring
-You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work -As applicable, learn and be certified on the use of equipment: Line truck, Bucket truck, Cable Reel equipment, Saws and drills -You have 1 year of practical working experience in construction, preferably in the telecom industry or similar -Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment -You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality -You have the ability and desire to learn and understand maps, drawings, diagrams, and other industry related knowledge for the project build process -You have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 3 years -Be familiar with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines -You have 1 year working in full-time, outdoor roles -You can lift and carry up to 70 lbs -CDL preferred or ability to obtain it within 120 days -Learn how to read and construct from a design schematic of map
