The Role
Overview
Administers and supports Smart 3D engineering software and data integration.

Tasks
-Translate coordinate systems between multiple applications. -Create new projects and “copy code” standard designs for replication in the field. -Configure and maintain S3D software settings, user roles, and permissions, admin parameters, configuration files, and content libraries. -Develop and enforce best practices for S3D usage, data standards, and workflows. -Collaborating with off-project Automation, other Engineering disciplines, and Engineering Management on engineering-related automation issues. -Works with disciplines and departments to identify and integrate data. -Apply knowledge of 2D/3D principles and practices to data integration with commercial-off-the-shelf software (i.e., SmartPlant, Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, analysis software, etc.) -Developing desktop instructions related to data management, data integration, data quality, and automation planning. -Manage and troubleshoot software issues, including updates, patches, and license inventory. -Test engineering applications and provide results to management. -Interfacing with other Functions such as Procurement, Construction, Startup, and understanding their requirements. -Collaborate with IT teams for server maintenance, data backups, and system integrations. -Set up software for use by disciplines and functions. -Provide end-user training, support, and assistance in the resolution of 3D modeling, drawing, and software issues. Customize drawings and report templates based on company and contract requirements. -Develop and deploy reports, queries, material take-offs, etc.

What You Bring
-Familiar with working in a regulated (e.g., ASME NQA-1) environment. -MS Office skills are essential. -General IS&T knowledge. -Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance. -Proficient with different data flow, data analysis, and information management techniques. -Proficient in integrating/interfacing data between disparate systems and various data types (e.g., structured, unstructured, documents, etc.). -Advanced Smart3D software administration and configuration experience, including other products such as SmartP&ID, SmartIsometric, and Smartsketch. -Experience working with disciplines to maintain software versions and lists to ensure appropriate software is used. -Excellent oral and written communication skills. -Must be a United States Citizen. -Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment with limited oversight to execute work supporting a model-based digital engineering delivery program. -Competent in developing programs, scripts, and routines using VB 6.0, .NET, or similar programming languages. -Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering, IT, or related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience and/or 9-12 years of relevant work experience without a degree. -Has an understanding of how upstream and downstream users are impacted by engineering data. -Conversant knowledge of data security. -Familiar with Building Information Modeling or Virtual Design and Construction. -Experience with industry-wide database systems such as Access, Oracle, and SQL Server. -Cross-functional experience working on EPC projects with a passion for implementing new and innovative processes.
