Tasks

-Coastal engineering in support of coastal flood studies under a predefined framework, specifically wave runup/overtopping analysis. -Adapts plans and actions in response to change and remains flexible under reasonable circumstances . -Support business development through bid preparation, client engagement, and thought leadership. -Mentor junior engineers and contribute to resource planning and team development. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (geotechnical, environmental, structural, and planning specialists). -Lead feasibility studies, concept development, and detailed design packages with relevant code knowledge and experience. -Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while consistently maintaining high standards of quality, innovation, and compliance with client requirements.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports, and collaborate effectively within diverse team environments involving staff, clients, and stakeholders . -Exhibit proficiency in performing advanced engineering calculations for the design and analysis of projects in coastal settings, including major coastal storm risk management initiatives such as levees and floodwalls. -Demonstrate high level of understanding the principles and practices of coastal engineering, coastal hydrodynamics, wave theory, and sediment transport mechanics. -Bachelor’s or master’s in civil / Coastal Engineering or Marine Structures related discipline from recognized university (Chartered Engineer status preferred) . -Strong knowledge of UK coastal policies, flood risk management frameworks, and environmental legislation.
