Tasks

-Meeting with client representatives regularly to discuss the status of projects, to proactively identify and resolve problems, and to ensure that the client is kept knowledgeable about the status of the work. -Employees will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks. -Performing the work in a timely and cost-effective manner and maintaining a work environment that is safe and continuously kept clean and orderly. -Responsible for establishing a professional work environment that includes fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, facilitating problem-solving, and minimizing and resolving conflict constructively. -Providing timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as Accounting and HR. -The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. -Responsible for the production aspects of the work producing quality work that is constructed consistent with the standards outlined in the project's contract documents. -The duties involve being the direct liaisons between the field crews/activities, and subcontractors. -Maintaining daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and E-mail correspondence. -Maintain OSHA 30-hour certification -Administering client-specific programs, such as CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship, etc. -Employees are expected to work safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean work area. -Conducting and/or participating in regularly held meetings involving R.C. staff. -Participating in and encouraging staff to seek out life-long learning opportunities and professional development. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or walk; talk or hear. -Directing and managing the workloads of supporting staff to include training, mentoring, and follow-up. -Obtain and maintain military base access. -Conducting and/or attending pre-construction, progress, and other projects and staff meetings.

What You Bring

We are looking for a Superintendent to join us at our job at the Memphis International Airport. The preferred candidate will have a strong understanding of airfield paving, concrete, asphalt and heavy civil operations. -Hearing should be excellent or corrected by an audio device. -Having a complete understanding of all the plans, specs, addendums, supplemental drawings, etc. -Employees must have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses. -Verifiable references. -The employee is occasionally required to sit. -The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. -Excellent computer skills, MS Office, and Excel-based templates. -Insurance-approved driving record -Minimum 3-5 years managing crews required. -Understanding of airfield paving and heavy civil operations. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
