Tasks

-Lead and participate in designing plans, specifications and details based on guidelines from a senior engineer -Perform design calculations and ensure that plans meet guidelines as well as code requirements and other regulations -Plan, organize, lead and coordinate projects -Provide recommendations on establishing standards and other practical applications -Assign and review the work of less experienced engineers, technicians and support staff -Perform technical information surveys -Ensure work complies with established budgets, schedules, estimates and procedures -Help write technical reports -Help commission and troubleshoot systems.Help draft proposals -Coordinate the work of drafters or other team members -Prepare material lists and bills of lading in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other methods in compliance with BBA’s quality system requirements

What You Bring

-Available for short-term work assignments between Sept-Îles and our Labrador City office, depending on business needs -Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, like Excel, and other applications, databases and interfaces -University degree in mechanical engineering and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec -Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Navisworks applications -Asset: experience in the heavy industry sector (mining, petrochemicals, energy, etc.) -At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferrably in heavy industrial projects -Rigorous and ethical -ASP Construction card -Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects -Asset: knowledge of SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, ANSYS and Fathom applications -Ability to look beyond established standards
