Design and engineer water resources solutions, including modeling, design, and project management.

Tasks

-Conduct comprehensive hydrologic and hydraulic studies using the latest modeling and design tools. -Partner with VHB’s integrated team to evaluate permit requirements and prepare applications for approvals. -Participate in business development supporting proposal, scope and fee development. -Support the preparation of design plans & specifications, and preparing technical reports -Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality solutions. -Responsible for project task management including task financial performance -Develop detailed reports, design plans, construction documents, and specifications that address water resources needs for a wide array of projects. -Mentor and support team members, expanding their technical expertise and fostering collaborative learning.

What You Bring

-An understanding of local, state, and federal technical requirements related to water resources projects. -Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental/water resource engineering or related discipline. Master’s degrees may be substituted for 2 years of experience. -EIT preferred -Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (e.g. HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, etc.) and design (e.g. stormwater control measures, culverts, flood control and resilience solutions, etc.) -3-5 years of water resource project experience required -AutoCAD and GIS experience strongly desired
