Tasks

-Supporting business planning, development, and training. -Effective planning, organizing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of work activities with other multi-discipline project team members. -Mentor and provide guidance to developing engineers within the department. -Produce thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and drawings. -Provide technical support and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems. -Contribute to continual development of internal engineering standards, tools, and work processes. -Manage projects through design and construction including RFI response, equipment submittal reviews, and coordination meetings. -Accountable to provide design activities in accordance with applicable codes and standards, policies, and procedures. -Review the design work completed by his/her peers and ensure compliance with scope and QA/QC requirements. -Lead the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation for substation projects encompassing conceptual and detailed design, specifications, and studies.

What You Bring

-Substation design experience. -Works well both in team environment and working individually on projects. -7+ years’ experience utilizing AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Primtech to produce and edit design drawings. -Registered Professional Engineer -Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (particularly Word and Excel) -Bachelor’s degree in engineering with (8+) years of substation design experience. -Strong written and verbal communication skills.
